We're often asked what it actually takes to become a Future Hotels member. The honest answer: quite a lot — deliberately.

We look for independent luxury properties with a deep, demonstrable commitment to sustainability — not a policy document, but a lived operating principle. We look for hotels offering a genuinely unique guest experience, with a focus on showcasing the cultural heritage of their destination rather than a replicable template.

Architecturally, we look for design inspired by place — a harmonious mix of location, personality, history and character that defines the property and ensures a lasting, immersive impression on every guest who stays.

Because membership is invite-only, every property in the collection has been personally vetted. That's what allows Future Hotels affiliation to mean something — to travel agents, to corporate buyers, and above all, to the guests who choose us because they trust what the name stands for.
